Many patients in their late teens or early twenties require extraction if there’s not enough room for the teeth to erupt properly. Some people never experience issues, but it’s always worth checking with a dentist.
Not everyone develops all four wisdom teeth. In fact, some people may only get one or two—or none at all. Genetics, diet, and environmental factors may play a role.
The procedure is typically pain-free thanks to local anaesthetic. You may feel some pressure, but no sharp pain. Sedation options are also available for nervous patients.
Recovery generally takes 3–5 days, though most people return to their normal routine within 24–48 hours. We’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions to help you heal quickly and comfortably.
We recommend taking the rest of the day off to rest, especially if sedation is used. You may be able to resume light activities the next day, depending on how you feel.
